Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University in Transportation and Logistics and a Master of Business Administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management as a Hotchkiss Scholar. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps as an officer, including a combat tour as a platoon commander in the middle east.
Jeff has over 25 years of leadership experience including, senior level (Vice President) experience, with a Fortune 300 business and 3 & 4 PL experience in supply chain, warehousing, distribution, and plant support. In the 3 PL space, he managed 10 large warehouses totaling 2.8 million square feet. Sizes ranged from 497,000 to 76,000 square feet. Industries served included hazmat, medical, pharmaceutical, automotive, beverage, food, and consumer packaged goods.
During his tenure at Dean Foods, he managed a multi-state team handling direct store delivery, warehousing, safety, fleet, facility maintenance through 21 plants in the US Southeast and pick and pack deep frozen container shipments to locations in Europe, Asia, Pacific, and Middle East. This business unit was comprised of 3,145 personnel with an annual operating budget of $430 MM supporting $4.2 B in sales with a fleet size of 434 tractors, 1,720 trailers, 2,155 straight trucks and 76-yard tractors. He also has significant experience in creating and implementing a nation-wide continuous improvement program, running a demand planning team, due diligence experience and implementing new technology. He has dealt daily with large customers such as Wal-Mart, Delhaize, Dollar General, Kroger, and others.
